Hello! As for my knowledge of ancestry, a lot of my relatives moved from Canada to Michigan. In the late 1890's my great, great, great, great, great cousin John Galbraith moved to MI with his family and many nicknamed him "red beard". Approximately 60 or 70 years ago, a couple of my great, great, cousins discovered an old Indian cave in Canada. On another note, as far as I know, the Galbraith's were a small clan and were close with the MacDonalds. I did visit Glasgow, Scotland and would love to see more someday.what an amazingly beautiful country.

My great grandfather was James Carmen Galbreaith (1902-1983), has Father, Robert Lee 1866-1932, his father, James Hiram. I was added sometime b4 him. Can't get past James. Would love to meet others that have "i" added or might know some info. Glad to know about the "Clan"!

Great site ! I would like to join. My mother is June Galbraith Hayes need Richmond. Grandfather Thomas Galbraith Richmond (b. 1895 Paisley, Scotland). Great grandmother Jeanie (Jane) Richmond nee Galbraith (b. 1870 Partick, Scotland. G-g grandfather Thomas Galbraith lived in Glasgow (b. 1846, Ireland). G-g-g grandfather William Galbraith (b. 1828, Down, Ireland). I think g-g-g-g grandfather was also William Galbraith.

Hi! I am a Hamilton researcher who is now deep into Galbraith research. I am looking for a Galbraith researcher who is interested in the three brothers. James, Robert and Humphrey in County Donegal, Ulster, Ireland. James in partictular seems to have a lot of connections to the Hamiltons, which the DNA confirms are mine. This info is taken from Chancery Bill dated 21 January 1679 and the Wrays of Donegal. This is what I know about James Galbraith and his descendents. He had four daughters: Margaret who married William Hamilton of Ballyfatton Angel Galbraith who married Hugh Hamilton Elizabeth who first married George Hamilton, s/o Hugh Hamilton of Lisdovin/Lisdivin. She secondly married her cousin James Galbraith, s/o Robert Galbraith. Robert Galbraith also had a daughter, Margery who married William Hamilton, 3rd of Ballyfatton. And my supposed line: Rebecca Galbraith who married Andrew Hamilton. Andrew and Rebecca had a son, Andrew who married Isabella, the daughter of Elizabeth and James Galbraith. My questions: Who is the father of the Hugh Hamilton who married Angel Galbraith? AND who are their children? Who is the father of Andrew Hamilton who married Rebecca Galbraith? Are their Children: Andrew (who married Isabella Galbraith), Majorie Hamilton (who married Patrick Hamilton) and James Hamilton (who married Catherine Leslie)? Thanks in advance, Lainey Hamilton

all i know is that my granfather came from michigan. he had ten brothers and sisters and there is a town in michigan call Mio. There are several galbraiths there and most are related. i was just wondering if they apart of the clan? thank you

My father was Robert Eugene Galbraith, born Pittsburgh, PA. Father was Robert Earl Galbraith, born in Long Island City, NY, veteran of the Spanish American War.
